The CAR brings together practical advisory, training, on-farm experimentation and local collaboration to improve soil health, farm resilience and the economic viability of Menorca’s agricultural sector.
Tailored technical advice and training to respond to real farm needs.
Testing and demonstrating solutions under Menorca’s real farming conditions.
Connecting farmers, knowledge, research and local actors to create new opportunities for Menorca’s agricultural sector.
The Regenerative Agroinnovation Centre (CAR) is a physical and collaborative space supporting the transition towards more resilient and viable agriculture in Menorca. It brings together farmers, advisors, researchers and local organisations to provide practical support, test solutions on real farms, share knowledge and strengthen local agricultural value chains.
Our work is organized around five key areas that guide the Alliance's projects and collective efforts toward an agroecological transition in Menorca.
We bring together local agri-food actors to develop collaborative projects that strengthen partnerships and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable food system.
Our objective is to provide guidance, training, and practical tools to help farmers adopt sustainable practices while improving resilience and ensuring the long-term viability of their farms.
We bet for innovative approaches that improve soil health, reduce environmental impact, increase productivity, enhance working conditions, and deliver healthier food.
We work to strengthen short supply chains and local distribution, creating fair opportunities for farmers while encouraging consumers to support local, seasonal products.
Our efforts are directed to engage citizens, businesses, and public institutions to promote sustainable food production and encourage the consumption of local and seasonal produce.
Ensuring that the stakeholders involved in the agricultural sector work together and in the same direction. The key is to create synergies.
Leveraging the human resources, infrastructure and materials we already have, and attracting new ones, for example through funding for specific projects.
Through advice, training, support for innovation, marketing… The aim is to support the entire value chain to make this transition a reality.
The role of farmers is key to the regeneration of the territory. We work to make their work visible and to give it the recognition it deserves.

The GOB Menorca team brings a range of key areas of expertise to GOV4ALL that are vital for achieving the project’s objectives.
The size of the island is propitious to set a whole-island living lab that can explore innovations at practice, farm, sector and even system level.
The lab will leverage these existing connections between food producers and consumers to nurture innovation processes with a strong involvement of civil society, towards coordinated actions on soils as real social-ecological systems.
